 Today i prepared a dinner for my husband that was different from the meals I used to make for him, my husband is the type who never eats anything with teriyaki sauce, but when I made it for him, he told me it was the first time he tasted such a good teriyaki sauce, that made me feel motivated and creative, so i wanted to share it with you all too.

For asian food lovers like me. here is the most delicious asian dish with the flavor of teriyaki sauce .

Poké bowl recipe : a healthy and delicious guide step by step :

What is Poké bowl ? :

The poké bowl is a traditional Hawaiian dish that consists of rice, marinated raw fish (often tuna or salmon), and fresh vegetables.

One of its best features is how customizable it is, allowing you to create a bowl that suite everyone’s taste .

Ingredients for the Poké bowl 🍜:

Main ingredients :

✓ 2 Cups of cooked withe or brown rice

✓ 4 cups of water

✓ 200 g of chicken breast

✓ 1 avocado, sliced

✓ 1/2 cup of seaweed ( wakame)

✓ 2 tablespoons of white and black sesame seeds for garnich

For rice vinegar seasoning:

✓ 1 cup white vinegar (or mild apple cider vinegar)

✓ 3 tablespoons granulated sugar

✓ 1 tablespoons salt

✓ 1/2 cup water

For teriyaki sauce :

✓ 3 tablespoons of soy sauce

✓ 1 tablespoons of sesame oil

✓1 teaspoon of rice vinegar

✓ 1 teasproon of honey or brown sugar

✓ 1/2 teaspoon of grated ginger

A pinch of red pepper flakes ( optional)

 

Step-by-step guide to make poké bowl :

1 Make the sauce :

In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, and grated ginger, add a pinch of sesame seeds and half a teaspoon of cornstarch , pour everything into a small pot and stir until you get a nice thick sauce.

Cook the chicken breast:

In a pan , heat 3 tablespoons of butter or oil, add 3 minced garlic cloves and 1 teaspoon of ginger, stir then add the chicken and cook until done, pour in a little teriyaki sauce and mix well so the flavors combine.

Season the rice

Once the rice is cooked, season it with the vinegar mixture you prepared earlier.

* Set up the bowl : in a serving bowl, add a layer of cooked rice as the base

* Add the ingredients: 

Neatly arrange the avocado sliced, and seaweed around the rice

Add the protein:

Place the chicken breast cubes opposite the avocado, add two tablespoons of teriyaki sauce over the chicken to enhance flavor and presentation.

*Garnish : sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top you can also add chopped green onions or crispy nori pieces for extra flavor.
