Greek salad 🥗

This salad or recipe is inspired by a famous restaurants in morocco, owned by a french chef, its name is Greek salad it was specially created for people on diets and vegetarians, it’s an exceptional salad, rarely included on restaurant menus, i learned how to prepare it by watching the kitchen chef as he skillfully and lovingly crafted it, that’s why i wanted to share it with you .

Healthy  and delicious Greek salad recipe

✓ Ingredients:

4 Mediume tomatoes 🍅: cut into wedges or chunks .

1 Cucumber 🥒: peeled and sliced into rounds or half-moos 

1 Small red onion 🧅: thinly sliced 

1 Green bell pepper 🫑: sliced into rings or strips.

1 Cup kalamata olives : whole or pitted 

200g (7 oz) feta cheese 🧀: cut into blocks or crumbled .

2-3 Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil :

1 Tablespoons red wine vinegar: 

1 Teaspoon dried oregano 

Salt🧂 and black pepper to taste.

✓ Optional additional 

• Capers 

• Fresh parsley or dill , chopped 

✓ Instruction : 

Step 1 : prepare the vegetables :

• Wash all the vegetables thoroughly under running water.

• Cut the tomatoes, into wedges or chunks and place them in a large salad bowl .

• Peel the cucumber, and slice it into rounds or half-moons,then add it to the bowl.

• Thinly slice the red onion, and add it to the vegetables.

• Slice the green bell peppers ,into rings or strips and add it to the bowl.

Step 2 : add the Olive and feta :

• Add Toss the kalamata olives into the bowl,

• Place the feta cheese on top of the vegetables, either in cubes for a traditional look or crumbled for easier serving .

3 season and dress the salad :

Drizzle the olive oil and red vinegar over the salad sprinkle with oregano, salt and pepper to taste.

4 Mix and serve:

•  Gently toss the salad to combine the flavors evenly.

•  serve immediately with crusty bread or as a side dish
